Meet Heather
While originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Heather has spent over 25 years living in North Texas. She is in the top 5% of real estate agents across Dallas and Fort Worth, and previously recognized by D Magazine as one of the best in the region.
Before real estate, Heather was a National Account Executive for a large Fortune 500 company. She regularly negotiated large contracts, conducted training sessions, and attended speaking engagements across the country. However, the toll of being away from her family so often weighed on her. Many suggested she try real estate, so once Heather decided to leave the corporate world behind and get her license, she never looked back.
Since Heather grew up in California, she has ample connections there and regularly assists those relocating from California to Texas. These clients come from both agent-to-agent referrals and word of mouth. Anyone who works with Heather knows she is a dependable asset to their real estate journey.

At home, she and her husband Jim have three beautiful children. Their youngest, Patrick, is currently a Freshman in high school with a true love of football - Her 2 daughters are becoming dynamic women who have a love for so many aspects of travel, food and exploring. Lauren is working on her Bachelor of Nursing Science and plans on working in the oncology field after she graduates. Morgan, is a Texas Tech graduate with a Bachelors in Marketing, respectively. An avid traveler, Heather looks forward to taking quarterly trips with her family to explore and unwind in intriguing new places. Last but certainly not least, Jim and Heather both have a love of bourbon not just the sipping of the trendy liquor but the history and lifestyle associated with it. Bourbon is about slowing down, visiting with friends and just being in the moment. The Shimala's wanted to share their bourbon experience with others so they created Bourbon, Bites and Burbs to share bourbon dinner tastings, special tastings and other bourbon themed events.
