Welcome to Phillips Creek

Friendly, tight-knit community where adventure abounds

A plethora of outdoor adventure and social activities await at Phillips Creek. Nearly 18 miles of trails and parks wind throughout the community, providing ample opportunity for hiking, biking, or leisurely strolls. Residents gather at the community's recreational space, the Texas Backyard, to enjoy fire pits, bocce ball, horseshoe courts, sand volleyball, grills, and walking trails that connect to surrounding neighborhoods. Phillips Creek features a community bike-sharing program that encourages families to utilize its 18+ miles of paved and scenic hike and bike trails. An environmentally conscious community, Phillips Creek uses actively reclaimed water from Frisco to irrigate all open spaces and common areas, saving around 150 million gallons of water annually.

Phillips Creek is located on the former site of the world-famous Phillips Ranch, which was established in 1936 when B.F. Phillips Sr. bought the first 640 acres of land. Phillips built his reputation as a horse breeder and trainer. The community pays homage to the Phillips Ranch by featuring 25 life-size bronze horse sculptures flanked by native Texas reeds and grasses throughout the community.

Politicians, Hollywood stars, sports figures, and media personalities have each graced the family’s main ranch house, which was known as “The Big House.” Today, the Vista Park Welcome Center sits where “The Big House” once stood. The ranch also played host to a number of high-profile fundraisers and social events until the Phillips family sold the land in the late 1990s.
